Country’s inability to reduce
The regularity of these horrors
I thoroughly sympathize Jeb
The Bush family’s embodied
Inability to restrain itself from
Presidential presumptions made
A statement supposedly a considered
Policy-like declaration that while
The shootings were terrible it
Is wiser for government not to
Act lest they make the wrong
Move after all stuff happens
He cleaned up the shit happens
Phraseology perhaps in deference
To the sensitivities of the families
Of the slaughtered but managed to
Convey his heartfelt conviction
That death by a madman’s whim
Is not worth all the attendant fuss
I remember his mom Barbara saying
Before the campaigns got underway
In January 2013 that it was a silly
Thing that only two or three families
In America were good enough to
Produce presidents no more dynasties
Well you’da thought she got herself
Dope-slapped by the RNC ‘cause

Hoary-headed mind and was talking

Bought senators and congressmen
Who need to be voted out of office
He doesn’t have to worry about
Being reelected if he were to
Make an executive order against
Unchecked gun sales through
Private swaps gun shows inheritance
It might not take long before
The NRA challenged the order
As unconstitutional but well-paid
Lawyers can cleverly keep it in
Effect till another president takes
Over and rescinds the order or
Happily reauthorizes it
